Misal Pav:
Misal pav is a popular street food dish from
Maharashtra, India that is very fun to eat. It consists of missal and pav.
Those who like spicy food can try this famous snack in Maharashtra. Making it
is not very difficult task. It is perfect snack as well as you can have it as
lunch and dinner. You can make this recipe without any hard work eith the help
of readily available ingredients. If
suddenly guests come to your home and you want to cook something special but
you have less time then, you can make this spicy and tasty recipe at your home
with less time and win everyone’s heart.
Ingredients:

moth/ matki ,
·
termeric powder ,
·
salt
·
chopped 3 big tomatoes
·
2 bowl chopped onion
·
fresh
coconut (khobra) grated
·
1 cup oil
·
chopped coriander leaves
·
garam masala powder
·
red chili powder
· kashmiri red chili powder
·
Misal masala
·
black mustard cumin seeds
·
2 inch chopped ginger
·
10-15 garlic cloves
·
water as required
·
Farsan as required
Instructions:
Cook moth/matki with salt, turmeric powder and water
till 1 visel, then drain . keep a boiled
sprouted moth stock in another bowl
Let’s start in a heated pan add 1 tsp oil add grated
fresh coconut roast coconut till light
golden coconut roasted well .
keep a side
now in a heated pan add 3 tsp oil now
roast chopped onion saute till onion becomes golden
After that add ginger and garlic saute well then add
1 tsp cumin seeds saute well keep a side.
Transfer this
mixture into a mixing bowl , and cool it down. After this add some coriander leaves and grind to make a
fine paste with a little water, after
paste is ready.
Heat oil in another pan add 1 tsp black mustard add 1 tsp cumin
seeds fry well add grinded paste on it saute well now.
Add Misal
masala which is easily available at your near shop and red chili powder as per
taste 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder mix it well add 1/2 tsp garam masala
powder/ blend of ground spices.
saute well till
oil sepreted cover the lid for 1 min on low flame after 1 min open the lid now
oil is sepreted well again mix it well
add boiled
sprouted matki/ moth on it mix well cover the lid for 2 min on low flame
After 2 minutes open the lid and add boiled matki
stock on it mix well we not use extra water on it. we use only boiled
matki/moth stock add salt as per taste cover the lid and bring it to a boil.
Open the lid
after it cook missal pav is ready to serve. To serve place some matki
mixture in a serving bowl now add farsan
on it and add chopped onion pour some of
the gravy on top.
Serve some gravy in a separate bowl too. add some
farsan garnish it with chopped coriander leaves Serve immediately with fresh
pav, lemon wedges and enjoy this simple and spicy recipe. if you like this misal pav .please try this

Notes:
1. If
you want to make missal more spicy then increase the amount of red chilli
powder.
2. Add
farsan/ mixture just before you serve, else it will not taste great and become
soggy.
